“Culture & Couture/ Cultura y Coutura”: Aleisha makes an appearance at Bronx Fashion Week (BXFW)!

Aleisha was invited as a VIP Guest to this year’s exclusive BXFW showing of “Cultura & Couture: Honoring Hispanic, Latin American & Caribbean Influence, Innovation & Impact”!

Hosted by native Bronxite Peter Gunz, the event was a vibrant celebration of fashion, culture, history, music, art, entrepreneurship, and community—showcasing the creativity, talent, and cultural richness that continue to define the Bronx. Bringing together established and emerging designers, local entrepreneurs, artists, cultural organizations, and community leaders, the evening served as a powerful reminder of the borough’s influence as a hub for artistic expression, innovation, and cultural pride. Each presentation reflected the individuality, resilience, and vision of the people who continue to shape the Bronx’s identity and extend its influence far beyond its borders.

Aleisha, self-styled, sat front row and center and took in the evening’s impressive showcase of fashion and design, witnessing firsthand the artistry, originality, and diverse perspectives represented on the runway. The collections offered more than a display of style; they reflected the stories, traditions, identities, and creative voices that make the Bronx such a distinctive and dynamic community. From bold statements to designs rooted in cultural heritage, the showcase highlighted fashion as both an art form and a means of storytelling, self-expression, and connection.

For Aleisha, a proud Bronx native with deep roots in New York City’s creative community, the evening provided an opportunity to celebrate the talent and cultural contributions emerging from her home borough. The event underscored the importance of creating platforms where local creatives and entrepreneurs can be seen, celebrated, and supported, while honoring the history and community that continue to inspire their work. More than a fashion showcase, the gathering was a testament to the Bronx’s enduring spirit—a community where culture meets creativity, individuality is celebrated, and the next generation of visionaries continues to shape what is possible in the Bronx and beyond.

Special thanks and congratulations to the President & CEO of Bronx fashion NYC, Flora Montes, Deputy Director of Community Services, Millicent Matos, and, of course, the Bronx Borough President, Vanessa L. Gibson.

It was an honor for Aleisha to attend and support this wonderful event (BX, All Day!)
